Why You Might Receive Multiple Text Messages from Us

We understand it can be confusing or frustrating to get more than one text message from the practice. We want to assure you that we only reach out when it’s important. We appreciate your patience and want to explain why this can happen.

What Is QOF? The Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) is a national health scheme. It encourages GP practices to carry out regular checks (such as blood pressure or asthma reviews) and keep you informed about any health markers that may need attention.

Why So Many Messages? We try to make contact about routine checks or reviews only once or twice a year, but it can sometimes lead to extra messages if:

  • You have more than one long-term condition on our registers.
  • Different checks or reviews happen at different times.
  • We need a reminder if you haven’t responded to earlier invitations.

Our Apology We are sorry if you feel bombarded by these messages. We do our best to streamline and combine requests, but there are instances when we must send reminders separately.

What You Can Do

  • If you have any questions or concerns about these messages, please get in touch. We’re happy to explain further or book any necessary appointments.
  • If you have received a text from us, it usually relates to a routine check that helps us keep your care on track.
