Breast cancer awareness month

Breast cancer awareness is observed every October and is an annual international campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote early detection, support those affected and fund research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

Many people first discover breast cancer through a change they notice themselves – like a lump, swelling or nipple discharge. The more familiar you are with the look and feel of your own breasts the more likely you’ll notice changes early. Everyone’s breasts are different so ”normal” is personal.

If you are concerned about a persistent change in the look or feel of your breast please contact the practice.
